About the game
Kart is a browser kart racer: three laps, twelve chassis, seven roads, items, a daily challenge, and a room your friends can join with a four-letter code. There's nothing to install and nothing to sign up for — pick a name and go.
How to play
Steer with WASD or the arrow keys, hold Shift to drift into corners, and press Space to use whatever's in your item slot. Q aims an item behind you instead of ahead, which matters more than it sounds once someone's on your bumper. On a phone, steering is a thumb zone on the left and items are a tap on the right — no buttons to hunt for.
Chassis and roads
Twelve chassis trade top speed against handling, weight and how much speed they keep off the tarmac, so the fastest kart on a straight road isn't always the fastest kart to a first place finish. Seven roads carry their own hazards and shortcuts, and an eighth option just picks one at random for you.
Items
Items roll from a box on the track, weighted by where you're running in the field — fall behind and the roll leans toward the items that close a gap. Running the field's own workbench pages (linked from the race screen) shows every chassis and item model up close.
Daily challenge and rooms
The daily is the same track and the same three objectives for everyone, once a day, raced solo against the clock. Rooms are for racing people you know: host one, share the code, and race together on the same road.
